the rain in spain falls mainly on the plain

it snowed in baghdad, rained in riyadh, and now muscat is experiencing its longest stretch of precipitation since gonu, it seems. the rain has been falling pleasantly all day, and while it's pretty to look at and pleasant to the ear, muscat's infrastructure was really not built for rain ... hence lots of roads being flooded (the beach road was, and traffic on sultan qaboos highway going west was INSANE. not that i was in it. i observed it nicely from a window at the ministry).

but in any case, after my net session here in costa, i plan on going home to a warm cup of tea, cuddling up on the futon, and watching casablanca ...

"play it again, sam ... for old times' sake."
